Rain postpones Trucks, Cup Series races to Monday

The Bristol dirt races for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Cup Series have both been moved to Monday after persistent, heavy rains continued to fall over the weekend, causing flood warnings to be issued in the area.

The Cup Series’ Food City Dirt Race, originally scheduled for 3:30PM ET on Sunday, will now begin at 4PM ET on Monday, March 29th, with coverage from FOX, PRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The Pinty’s Truck Race on Dirt will take place on Monday at 12PM ET and will be broadcast on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The postponement comes after a virtual washout on Saturday, when both the Truck Series and Cup Series were scheduled to run their qualifying races, followed by the Truck Series race. The Truck Series took the green flag in their first qualifying race and made a single lap before the caution flag, followed by the red flag, flew due to visibility issues caused by the mud accumulating on the fronts of the trucks. NASCAR cancelled the remaining on-track activities shortly thereafter.
