Sheldon Creed will make the next full-time step in 2019, as he will join GMS Racing for a full-time campaign in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
The 2018 ARCA Racing Series champion will make his third start with GMS in 2018 at ISM Raceway, driving the No. 2 Chevrolet. This multi-race deal to end 2018 has given Creed his first laps outside Eldora Speedway in a truck.
“I’m really looking forward to that,” Creed said. “I like these trucks a lot, you can drive them super hard and they got a lot of downforce. They tend to be tight and I love being loose. You just have to tune it up a bit.”
With five Truck starts, the Californian finished a highest of 15th at Eldora in July. He recently led his first laps at Texas Motor Speedway last weekend.
The car number and crew chief will be announced at a later date.
