Brennan Poole will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series on Saturday as he pilots the No. 47 Chevy Camaro for Mike Harmon Racing.
Poole will be racing the Production Alliance Group 300 with a heavy heart after the unexpected passing of his mom on February 9.
I’m very thankful for the opportunity MHR has given me to get back on track this weekend @AutoClubSpdwy. I look forward to getting back behind the wheel and having my family at the track with me after the unexpected passing of my mom February 9th. She was the best mom. pic.twitter.com/NBuEsetp9m

A Texas native, Poole made just one NASCAR start in 2021. That start came at his home track of Texas Motor Speedway for On Point Motorsports. Poole started 27th and went on to finish in the 14th position.
Saturday’s race will mark the first time Poole has raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series since the 2017 when he piloted the No. 48 Chevrolet for Chip Ganassi Racing. Having spent both the 2016 and 2017 running full-time for CGR, Poole earned one pole, 8 top-five’s and 34 top-10 finishes over those two seasons.
In two previous NXS starts at Auto Club Speedway, he has two top-15 finishes, with a best finish of 8th in 2017.
Saturday’s Production Alliance Group 300 from Fontana, CA is scheduled for 5:00pm Eastern time on FS1.
